What is Neurodynamic Mobilisation?

Neurodynamic mobilisation (often called “nerve glides” or “nerve flossing”) is a gentle, movement-based therapy used to restore flexibility and health to your nervous system.

Just like muscles stretch and joints bend, your nerves must slide smoothly through your body when you move. If a nerve becomes irritated, compressed, or restricted—due to poor posture, injury, or repetitive strain—it can cause shooting pain, tingling, numbness, or a stubborn feeling of muscle tightness.

Our Approach: Clinic Care + Home Exercises

We use a two-step approach to get your nerves moving freely again:

In the Clinic (Hands-On Therapy): We use precise, gentle manual techniques to release tension around the nerve pathways, relieve compression, and kickstart the healing process.

At Home (Self-Flossing Exercises): We teach you specific, controlled movements to do at home. These exercises keep the nerve sliding smoothly between sessions, preventing stiffness from returning and giving you the tools to manage your recovery.

The Benefits: How It Helps You

Relieves Radicular & Shooting Pain: Rhythmic movements calm overactive pain signals, easing the sharp, traveling, or burning pain that shoots down your limbs.

Resolves Chronic hamstring and calf tightness: Often, what feels like a permanently tight hamstring or calf muscle is actually an irritated sciatic nerve. Relaxing the nerve instantly releases that stubborn, unstretchable muscle tension.

Reduces Numbness & Tingling: By taking pressure off compressed nerve tissues, it helps clear away uncomfortable pins-and-needles sensations.

Improves Circulation & Healing: The gentle sliding motion acts like a pump, boosting blood flow, clearing away localized swelling, and delivering oxygen to healing tissues.

Common Conditions We Treat

This therapy is highly effective for lower body and spinal issues, including:

Sciatica & Radicular Pain (pain radiating from the back down the leg)

Chronic Hamstring & Calf Tightness that doesn’t respond to standard stretching

Pinched Nerves in the neck or lower back

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other upper limb nerve restrictions
